Headbands and flowers

29 Oct

Received my first check from The Marketplace! This only means I have to make more, and I am totally fine with that =D. Last night, I went with my cousin to a haunted house. After standing in line for 45 minutes in close to freezing temperatures (yes, it has already snowed here), I decided a headband was in order to keep my ears from falling off. As soon as I got home, I busted out the needles and yarn and made one of the cutest designs first introduced to me by Judy Graham (google or YouTube her, Knitting Tips By Judy, she knits for Hollywood and quite often posts patterns that are delectable). This design is very simple, and knits up rather fast, making it perfect for going from cold ears to warm ears in less than a couple of hours.
My best friend and I spent some time in our local craft shop a few days ago and I came across a wonderful loom. It’s called the Hana-Ami Flower Loom. With one read through of the instructions, I was making beautiful flowers and adding them as adornments to the headband. I do plan on making more of these for showing The Marketplace, as they are very versitile and chic.
Tonight is going to be filled with yarn, world series, and I’d I’m lucky a scary movie or two and keeping warm with my kitty purring at my feet.
Have a safe Halloween everyone!
